Below are Sananda's comments which heralded in the New Year 2001. I reckon it is still appropriate now. (Who is Sananda?)

Please find attached a message I received at around 1.00pm on Monday 1/1/2001. I was just about to have a much needed afternoon nap (while my toddler slept) when I felt this message arrive. I tried to ignore the urge to write as I lay down on the bed, desperate to catch up on some sleep, but after no more than a minute, I was up with pen and paper, writing as fast as I could. I haven’t really received anything like this since I wrote an abundance of "Inspirations" (featured on Nourishment for your Soul CD) in California in 1990, except for a few personal messages. This came as a welcome surprise, as, since I got "back on track" (See What Happens if I lose my way) in September 2000, I have been asking the Universe for my updated direction and purpose. I guess this is the beginning of the next phase (for myself and Earth) …

Great people of Earth who have decided to stay on, here is the New Manifesto, the New Covenant, that has taken effect.

You continue to have free will and will always do so while you play this Game – and so what is laid out before you now, as always, is for you to take or leave. Just remember – if you are not a part of the solution, you are part of the problem by default – as the saying goes.

Simply this: Take your highest goals, your loftiest visions, your most cherished dreams – focus on them first thing after waking and last thing before sleeping. Revisit them during your day and while you sleep. Then bring them to Earth.

Share your visions with trusted ones. Encourage your enemies. Lay down your weapons and take up the Challenge. Earth is to be reborn and you can be a part of the midwifery team. You each have a part to play in this if you so desire – nothing is too small, nor too large and all shall be equal in the overall scheme of things. But take up the Challenge and take it up now. Time is running out and you will be left behind if you tarry much longer.

Q: Please give me an example in practical terms for sceptics or those people who will not understand the wording of the above.

A: Love your neighbours as yourself.
Care for the sick.
Educate the lowly.
Tend for the animals.
Generate the income.

A: Jigsaw puzzles have many seemingly unrelated parts. Put them together and
you have a pre-ordained picture. Add light, heart and joy and it is a puzzle to behold – fit for the gods.

Ergo, if you are a farmer – farm
A technician – do I.T.
A printer – publish
A cook – feed others
Ad infinitum…

As far as I can gather, Sananda is an advanced being – an embodiment of the Christ energy – who, with many others, is overseeing our (humankind’s and Earth’s) evolution. He exists with other ascended ones (like Jesus Christ and the Buddha), and is available for guidance on the above.

There are people around the globe who channel this being – it is not for me to confirm nor denounce the truth of their messages. I am not affilitated with any other channellers or "spiritual" groups. As stated above, I have received "Inspirations", but these were received over several months during a time of intense meditation and other "spiritual" practices. I did not sit in "circle" to receive them, and I felt they were given as a gift.

When I write, I feel there is "something to write" and as I put pen to paper, the words just flow, as if I am privy to the telling of a story. I partly see, partly feel/know what is to be written. I never have to edit what is given to me. In fact, I would probably weaken their message or possibly alter their accuracy if I were to try. In the past, I felt as if it were a wise/evolved part of myself and sometimes Spirit, or a loving, wise being that was talking through me. I understood at the time that it wasn’t the messenger that was important, but the message. That is still the case.

I urge you to read the above with an open mind/heart, and if it rings true, or stirs a heartfelt desire to positive action or to achieve personal growth, then all well and good. If you find you can’t understand it, reject it, or are afraid by what you read, then leave it alone. As with everything in this universe, discernment is a great ally.

I believe we each choose our own destiny – none is greater than another is – and all is in Divine order. I also believe this life is as magical and sacred as we each make it, and again, that’s up to the individual. Some of you will go "Yes! That feels so right!" Some might say I’m a dreamer, while others that I’m full of ****! Again, that’s a matter of opinion.

In publishing this message, I have consciously "put myself on the line" to be ridiculed, misunderstood or rejected. Up until recently, those considerations have prevented me from making the most of my voice, my experiential understanding of Life, and from "spreading the word" via my writings.

I’ve just reached 40 years of age, have survived a major operation and have consciously decided that I’m for life, rather than wanting to escape it. As such, and wishing to make my life as sacred and meaningful to Self and others as possible (let’s maximise effort here), I have decided to do my part in the grand Order of things.

You may hear more from me of this (received) nature, or not. It’s entirely up to the Universe.

For now, I thank you for reading this, and for looking at me with, I hope, not too judging eyes. The important thing is that you read the New Year’s Message, and take from it whatever stirs you on to greater things. We are all unlimited, untapped potential. If nothing else, let’s all try and achieve a little more this year.
