It took me quite a while to write this article, as, quite frankly it took a while before I knew where to begin. A large part of me (when I wasn ’t been socialising with Mum while she was visiting) was struggling with a few issues and I didn’t want to write anything until I had come to an inner resolution. Now I see those issues gave me the topic for this article.

Let me begin with the theme of this web site, which is personal and planetary evolution. As I see things, we (as a species) are coming to some sort of turning point. That’s fairly evident from looking at the daily news. Unlike many, I didn't think it would happen on the first of January 2000 – probably more around 2010-2012. (I choose to go for 2012, as I had a dream when I was pregnant with my son. When I asked him in the dream why he was coming to earth right now, he said "For the Event on 13^th/14th December 2012.") However dates really aren’t important. Only the NOW is important, where decisions are made and our true power IS. But that’s a whole theme for another article. To continue…

According to all the great good books, reputable visionaries and my personal understanding, we are indeed at an extraordinary time in the history of humankind. We are being given the opportunity to leave behind the fear-based illusionary reality (Old World) and can now choose to live in the love-based real existence of our Soul-truth (New/Golden Age). The process is a relatively simple one, while at the same time being one of the hardest things we have ever done, as it requires us to think and act in an opposite way to the way we learned to survive in the past.

Let’s take a look at an individual’s evolution, because the planetary evolution part is more or less the evolution of the collection of us individuals. For this explanation, I am going to use a time line with a start and finish point. This is like trying to draw the intricate workings of a space rocket using a one line diagram, but it will have to do. Here it is:

Say we are going through life from now to the future and we start at point A. Our ideal future of absolute happiness, centred in our Soul, is at point B. In between A and B is our journey through this existence in this body. This journey takes place against a background of always-present Loving Consciousness – "Timeline" C. Some call It God, Godforce, Universe, The Void. It’s name doesn’t matter. What does matter is that it IS. It is always with us, in us, beside us and knows our every thought and feeling. From our point of limited consciousness at A, we think that to live this life we’ve got all of these outer goals to accomplish and material things to get. And in terms of the Godforce we can do all of that if we want to. It doesn’t really care, as long as one day we remember It and that we are a part of It. Our journey in reality therefore, is not just going from birth to death in this body, it is also a journey in consciousness. And on this journey, we go from not knowing our connectedness to the Godforce (A), to soul-centred reality where we are totally aware of our connectedness to the Godforce - and therefore in a state of absolute bliss (B).

Now this journey may be a quick jolly jaunt, romping through life’s joyful adventures, or it may be a long saga clouded with drama, tragedy and mayhem. Each one’s journey is different based on the individual’s personality, background and beliefs and of course, their individual Soul’s purpose for being here. This purpose might be to grow and become aware of some quality, such as compassion – or it might be to make this the last time on the great game board of life and become fully realised. Whatever; the basic diagram is the same for everyone.

While we walk this planet going for all of our outward goals, this journey from a limited consciousness to an enlightened one, is obviously going on within us. It requires an open mind and heart. It requires us to become "as little children", that is, vulnerable and trusting. Now this isn't always easy. As we go from A to B, we come across people and situations in our lives that bring up areas in our subconscious mind that require our awareness and release. These situations will probably impact on us as fearful situations, ones that bring up anger or ones we try to avoid because they make us feel uncomfortable. They might also be fantasies that we get stuck in when life becomes too hard for us to bear. These fantasies probably have their roots in childhood, as do the majority of the others. On our diagram, these situations are the grey bars that cross C.

The way to complete our journey, or the "great game plan" in which we find ourselves, is not to get stuck in the difficult situations, our fears, or our fantasies. The way to get to B quickly is just to keep going, while keeping our hearts and mind on our inner goal (finding true bliss) and finding trust that the Godforce wants us to "come home".

If you pray, meditate or in some way access the knowing part of yourself, you will feel the background presence of the Godforce (C) at various times throughout your journey. You may hear your little inner voice reminding you who you are. You may see Christ’s face when your heart opens up to the little children who are suffering around the world. Whenever you feel connected to your brother and sister souls, you are experiencing B which is your destiny.

A lot of the time, we get so bogged down in the fear, anger, jealousy, stress, pain, hurt, confusion (place your own words here _________), or even have fantasies that we are greater or less than others, or living some la-la existence, we simply don’t feel the presence of the Godforce. We stumble along, sometimes enjoying the journey and sometimes wanting to stay in bed and let the world go by. Now, the Godforce wants us to be happy. It wants us to be aware of who we are and our connection with It. It wants us to see reality as it truly is, which is completely free of fear, anger, pain and hurt. So what does it do?

It brings to each of us situations where we can see our fears and fantasies for what they are - ILLUSIONS. Once we know they are just creations of our imagination, based on a memory or trauma of the past, we can let them go and choose to live a life responding with loving consciousness rather than reacting out of fear. This means we feel our vulnerability. But it also means we are in a position where absolute happiness can be felt. Now what most of us do is get caught up in the illusion and try and fix it, avoid it or overdose on it - thus making it even more "real". We suffer and struggle in all sorts of ways. We get stressed out and sometimes take it out on our loved ones. (Which probably has the knock-on effect of putting them in a situation of realising one of their own fears). We live in a confusing, delightful and sometimes hurtful world. We weren’t given any rule books when we incarnated in this body. We just had to make do with what was in our immediate environment. What we did pick up along the way helped us, at the least, to survive and at most gave us good coping skills and even the ability to consciously create our reality in line with the Godforce.

Whatever we learned along the way, we are all here NOW. And in the NOW it seems our opportunities for seeing our illusions for what they are, are coming along thick and fast. It’s as if the Godforce doesn’t want to wait too much longer before we join It again. So It is pulling us towards Itself like a giant in-breath, and as we go, we are pulled through those tricky little (or big) illusions that we hold in our subconscious minds. The trick here is to remember what they are – simply illusions – and keep returning to being centred in loving consciousness (C) - and ACTING AS SUCH - and pretty soon, you’ll be at B permanently. Game over! You’ll then be able to choose to stick around if you want, and help the remaining souls reach B.

Now the Godforce in Its infinite wisdom and compassion, hasn’t left us here stranded. There’s always that little inner voice to guide us along the way and give us useful advice. We just have to remember to LISTEN! But I covered the little inner voice recently, so I won’t go into it again now. The Godforce, in league with our Soul/Higher Self, is constantly here, encouraging us to grow into our true potential. Now that potential is our Soul Self. And we don’t have to die to realise it. We can achieve it in this body. With a little will and effort, and the Godforce’s help.

Once a lot of us get to B, we’ll achieve a critical mass and hey presto! The whole of humanity will enter the Golden/New Age. I reckon that’s pretty exciting, and worth hanging around to see, don’t you?
